can anyone recommend a decent coffee grinder that won't break the bank, and will do consistent grinds for espresso?
@adasauce I have a gaggia MM which is meh (too loud, too hard to change granularity) but it works alright and a delonghi KG79 which is very good. I've designed a part that makes it even easier to use for espresso, if you have access to a 3D printer. https://www.youmagine.com/designs/delonghi-kg79-coffee-grinder-espresso-addon
@qwazix wow, thanks for the suggestion.
i do indeed have a printer on hand, and that is my exact usecase! I'll keep an eye out for that one.
@adasauce have you looked at a Baratza Encore? i’m not 100% positive it’d meet your needs for espresso, but it’s worth a look. one cool thing is that they sell replacement parts on their website. one of the gears broke in mine and i just ordered an oem replacement gear and it was good as new.
@adasauce cuisinart dcg-20n has been good for us.
A cool and chill place for cool and chill people.
