is it just me or are religious books always printed on the shittiest paper? like i just got a quran with a nice hardcover and a ribbon bookmark, but the paper's so thin I'm afraid I'll tear it to pieces just turning a page

@pinkosock good paper is thicker, they want the holy books small and accessible. if the bible for instance was printed as one of those nice harper collins trade paperbacks with the fake-ripped edges? buddy that's gonna be a bigge booke

@pinkosock the norton anthologies also do this and they're even bigger

@pinkosock Dunno what you mean, my edition of the Silmarillion is printed on fine, reasonable thick paper
