Braid - A Dozen Roses

The top comment for this is "make-out music for hardcore kids" and that's better than anything I can come up with.

Orville Peck - Cowboys are frequently, secretly fond of each other
Please enjoy this wholesome, gay cowboy content

This new Blink 182 song whips so much ass it's a shame it only 49 seconds long

Chairmen of the Board - Give Me Just a Little More Time

Just an amazing R&B song from 1970 that's been stuck in my head for a couple hours

Tiger Army - As The Cold Rain Falls

Tiger Army is a pretty straight forward rockabilly band but in this song they do their best John Hughes soundtrack impression and I really like it very much. When i first heard Orville Peck I was reminded of the singer Nick 13 a lot.

Xiu Xiu - Dear God, I Hate Myself

This band has been brought up a few times the past couple weeks and it holds a special place in my heart. It's dark and noisy and sad bleep bloop music and I've had the chorus to this stuck in my head all day

I post about music sometimes, mostly sincerely.
I use for track by track album breakdowns. And for just random songs I want to share.

Built to Spill - Fly Around My Pretty Little Miss

IMO Built to Spill basically invented what would be come to be known as "Indie" music and they are also extremely underrated as a Guitar Band

Orville Peck - Buffalo Run

My wife turned me on to this guy. It's so fucking good, it's like Joy Division, or Nick Cave but country. Like, what If Interpol was from Bakersfield.

Ida Maria - Oh My God

Another classing 00's blog hit. I wish the band had lived up to the potential of this single.

Titus Andronicus - Upon Viewing Bruegel's "Landscape With the Fall of Icarus"

TA s the epitome of an"i get it you've read books" band, but i still really like them and i get the "all the pretty horses" hook stuck in my head a lot

Bitchin' - "Bitchin' Anthem"

I remember getting this 7" as a replacement for something else I ordered by mail from No Idea Records and really loving it, I'm not sure how well known they were in Florida at the time but I've literally never met anyone that had heard of them.

anyway it rules, listen to it

Blue grass lefty music from my neck of the woods. It fucking rules. It's about firing corporate assholes into the sun
Mountain Sprout - Into the Sun

This shit whips so hard and it also fits 's non cis-dude april vacation. I've listened to it like 10 times today
Daft Punk ft Panda Bear - Doing it Right
When this song came out I was mowing the lawn in Arkansas and I had to stop what I was doing and sit down.

The Menzingers - Mexican Guitars

I just really like the evocation of "Mexican guitars". For those that don't know, lower level Fender guitars were made in Mexico in the late 90's and 00's (some still are, I know), but they were a lot of peoples first "real" guitars and i have a big soft spot for them in my heart.

Don't Stop or We'll Die - Once in a While
This is a "comedy band" from Paul Rust and Harris Wittles and I think one of the Birthday Boys, but this song isn't a joke or really funny at all, it's just a nice song that i like a lot.

Antarctigo Vespucci - Freakin' U Out

this is a great, very-jake song for the first day of spring. Its a side project of Jeff Rosenstock, listen to it

PUP released new music and its good.

favorite lyric "Your little songs are getting way too literal
How about some goddamn subtlety for a change?"

Cursive - Mothership, Mothership

Very good post-hardcore band from Omaha. I have tried to see them three times but something has come up each time. They've been my number one, bucket list, live show because of this. I thought about it hard and this might be my favorite song by them.
