Doctor Who audio, "Farewell, Great Macedon"
I'm re-listening to a Doctor Who Lost Stories audio, "Farewell, Great Macedon", and it's one of my favorite Doctor Who stories. The portrayal of Alexander the Great as... a man OBSESSED with uniting all peoples; that he pisses off his own overly religious friends by showing equal honor to his own gods and to the Persian gods. That the writers would choose to portray this great King as someone who "bawls like a baby" upon the death of his friends. It's such a good strong characterization that makes the character really easy to love.
A cool and chill place for cool and chill people.
