Sticky toot

indulge me for a second if you would.

what if we set out to create "*The Village Voice* of the Fediverse,"

I know there are characters here - obviously we know this is something big and unique and beautiful, but I believe reverent and invested criticism/reporting from a trustworthy masthead can *really* work wonders for a budding cultural movement - especially when it comes time to crafting the narrative in the face of more mainstream attention.

radical town you are still looking incredible. keep doing you.

Extratone would like to publish a personal playlist update essay of any length. What are you listening to in your isolation? Old or new, cross-genre. We'd just like to hear an update from you. submit.as/extratone/plague-ban

radical town why doth the whole internet not look like youm.

I think I'm too tired to productively elaborate but it just seems at this moment to me like it could be a great opportunity for people like me to finally shut the fuck up and make use of the cis white hoodies-at-Ruby Tuesdays Linux thing to actually uplift marginalized voices instead of just more stepping on them. (like these big posts are now.)

trans admin, name change

People who've changed their names: has anyone found a solution for redirecting your old name to your new name. I have done a bunch of work that is credited under my deadname, and I don't want to deadname myself in order for that to be found or attributed to me. Similarly, I would like for people searching my deadname to still be able to find me. Any ideas? Please boost.

(accidentally deleted the original post, so sorry for the repost)

honoring the brave veterans who fought and died in the forum wars of the mid-late ‘00s.

I just miss using Dropbox Paper. 10 year old computers definitely wear ya down, no matter how many you have.
